UPDATE ON SHOP ROOTED AND FREE

Hi friends, happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend and is ready for an amazing week ahead! 😀

If you are new around here, last year on January 31st (Justin Timberlake’s birthday lol) I opened my women’s boutique Shop Rooted and Free which means that next week, we are officially celebrating turning ONE!! I am so so excited.

With such a big day next week I wanted to hop on here and give an update on the boutique and also let you know about the week of fun we have happening on IG.

So, Shop R+F turning one means that I have had a year filled with so much growth and learning both personally and professionally. Ya’ll I started this boutique knowing nothing about retail except that I had this dream on my heart and a desire in my soul to start this boutique since I was a little girl. Some months were easier than others and the rollercoaster of entrepreneurship just about did me in some days but a year later I can confidently say that I am so glad I went after this dream and I cannot wait to see what year two has in store.

My online website has evolved.

My pop ups have evolved.

I have learned how and what to buy (and what not to buy).

I have learned more social media than I ever thought I would need to know.

I have tried and failed. Got back up and learned from it and had big wins from the lessons.

After a year in business, I finally have my finger on what I want my boutique to look like, feel like, smell like, etc. It didn’t come overnight and I know I still have a ton of stuff to learn but gosh, I am just so dang proud of what I (we) have done in the last year.

Going into year two I am pushing myself to double my sales. Yep, double. It is a big scary goal and a number that feels a little out of reach but I believe so deeply in what I am creating and I so much love connecting with all of our amazing customers and so I decided to shoot for the stars and go after these big scary dreams that I have.

In year two, Shop Rooted and Free is going to continue to focus on online sales and pop up shops with laser focus.

Online // I would love to pour more into online resources and social media marketing so if you know of anyone who could help, please send them my way (I would love to support another women in business). I also want to make sure that I am serving my online customers the same way that I am able to serve my in person customers so I am brainstorming up ways to make shopping online easier and more personable.

Pop Ups // Last year I threw anything at the wall that would stick. I tried so many different pop ups in so many different areas (54 to be exact, whew!) and through all of it I learned the pop ups that work best for my business and the areas I do best in. So, I am focused on the handful of local markets that I am established with and will only be adding to my pop up calendar multi-day events like the Blueberry Festival and Shopapalooza in Tampa.

New in Year 2 // This year, I am excited to start offering in home shopping parties. Once a month I will host an in home party with hostess incentives and discounts. So, if you are local and want to gather your friends together for a night of fun and shopping let me know, I would love to come and do an in home pop up for your friends! Once a quarter, I will also open my home up to existing local customers to come shop with exclusive discounts for shopping in person with me.

I am so excited for what is to come and I am ready to hit the ground running into a new year with new goals.

But, before we keep going….I want to take time to pause and celebrate all that year one was which is why starting this Wednesday, I am a hosting a week long Shop R+F celebrating on IG. 🎉
