Spring Break 2023

Happy Monday friends! It has been a busy one over here so I am just now getting into the blog world for the day but better late than never, right? 🤪

Anyone else write down todays date and wonder how we can already be at the end of March? I had a doctors appointment this morning and it took me a moment to catch up when I saw the date was 3/20. This year is flying by, right?

Anywho, today I thought I would share a quick recap of Spring Break 2023 but let me preface this by saying, we didn’t really do much. Joe and I got stuck in Boston for an extra night and because we are moving in a couple weeks we decided that jetting up to Boston quick for the wedding was enough travel before a big move.

The girls were amazing all week long while Joe and I worked, I tried to sprinkle in some fun when I could but they tagged along a lot and were excited to earn their first paycheck by helping me! We even opened them Greenlight cards so they can keep helping and earning money. They loved tagging and steaming and help me set up and work 2 pop ups.

We hit up the park after dropping off some donations and they quickly realized that the park was way more fun when they were little. It was my idea since we were near a park by the water but it didn’t last long, lol. And, poor Paisley got a bloody nose while we were there, this pollen is kicking her butt!

Savannah had some dental work done as we prep for the next stage of braces so I am winning no mom of the year awards there for scheduling it on Spring Break, ha! But, she did feel up to getting her hair cut which they had been begging for recently!

In between working and daily life were lots of movies, game nights, Starbucks runs, lunches out and spending quality time together. I would be lying if I said I didn’t have a little mom guilt for such a “boring” break filled with lots of work but also really proud of them for jumping in with me and making it all fun despite it.

I hope that everyone had a great Spring Break no matter what you did and if you too are carrying a little mom guilt for not traveling or whatever you could fill in the blank with, I pray peace and comfort over you too!
