Rooted and Free Update
Hi friends!
Wow, it has been a minute since my fingers hit the keyboard and I posted here on the blog but, it feels so great to be back in this space and connecting with you all in this way.
As what always happens in the blog world, I didn’t mean to take such a long break but life was life-ing as the kids would say and as a made my way through May and a busy pop up season and end of school year season for my kids, something had to come off my plate and one of those things was the blog.
There are many weeks where being a mom and entrepreneur feel balanced but there are just as many weeks where I feel like a chicken with my head cut off as I try to navigate both and in those weeks it’s usually that something is a winner and something is a loser when it comes to my time. But, such is life and honestly, it’s those moments that I am thankful for this journey the most.
As I navigated my busy schedule and took some time off line I couldn’t help but keep feeling like the break was needed because if I am being totally honest, my space online has felt unaligned for me for quite some time. I have felt like my boutique and blog were two different things instead of 2 spaces that complimented each other well and I also couldn’t help but feel like there were parts of my business that were missing and unintentionally being pushed to the side like sharing my wellness journey and ditch and switch methods.
So, I kept myself offline until I really felt like I could bring these spaces together and I am so excited that I have. Today, I thought that I would share with you a few updates on the spaces that you will find and what you can expect from me both in this blog space but also on social media.
First up, an update on the blog! Formally known as “Hey Kate Rogers” this blog space is back to its roots (ha) and is now the Rooted and Free blog. The Rooted and Free Lifestyle Blog is going to be your destination for home, family, fashion, faith and so much more. It will be a space that inspires you to create the life you love to live and find confidence in rhythms, habits and joyful moments in your day.
Our hope is that this blog will help your mind, body and spirit - that it will encourage you to learn new things, dress for your day, find joy in everyday moments and just truly build a life that you are excited to wake up to everyday.
On the blog, we will publish weekly posts 3-4 times a week. We will also send a weekly community newsletter to not just keep you up to date on the happenings here but also with tips, tricks and suggestions for the busy woman!
Shop Rooted and Free has been going over a bit of a make-over looks wise and we are loving the way our new graphics and social media profiles are looking! We are working on updating our website and online presence and we can’t wait for it all to be up and running because up next, our pop up boutique is getting a makeover too!
We are still focused online and with local events (pop ups and private parties) in Lakewood Ranch, FL and I feel even more excited than ever as we really hone in on our brand and the style of everything that we offer. We are really focused on casual, everyday pieces that can be dressed up or down — wanting to bring easy to style, effortless clothing/accessories/gifts to your closet and home.
You can find us releasing new arrivals every Thursday at 11:00 AM EST online and then they will be available to shop in person at our next event. As always, if you need help with sizing, styling or you have any general questions I am always happy to help.
Last but not least, I am excited to share that I am back to educating, sharing and selling Young Living products. Last fall I found myself overwhelmed if all the products I had on hand so I paused my monthly order (which is one thing I love about YL) and used the products I had. We used and then ran out of our favorites and I challenged myself to use new oils and products I had gotten for free and then well, just as life happens I started to not use my oils and next thing I knew 6 months had passed and well, here we are.
It’s amazing that what made me realize I hadn’t been using the tools so easily available to me is that my health has started to tank a little bit. My face is breaking out. We have been sick for what seems like all spring long. We are having weird skin reactions because I am just grabbing whatever at Publix and well…I knew that I needed to get back to what I know is best for us and I am going to share our reentry journey!
I will do an unboxing when our new loyalty order arrives and I will show you my redo on ditch and switch on both social media and here on the blog. If you want to join me in the conversation and journey, I would love to have you!
Okay friends, that is our update for the day! I am going to be diving back in this week so be sure to check out our blog and social media accounts in the coming days as I reenter the online world! I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend, excited to see what is in store for us this summer!
