Friday Favorites 9.1.23

Happy Friday friends, we made it to the weekend after a crazy week down here in Southwest Florida!! 🎉

Today we are going to just jump right into to Friday Favorites linking up with Erika and Andrea! I love this weekly link up to connect with others but also to share a little life lately with you all throughout the month! Alright, lets dive in….

I shared this meme the other day as we had to pivot our weeks in Florida and prepare for the first major hurricane that was headed our way. This meme cracks me up because it is so true. It is so freaking hot down here and all we can think about is cooler weather, literally no matter who I talk to we wish for fall and mother nature sends us a hurricane instead!

Thankfully we just had some wind and rain in our area but our beach town about 25 mins away had a lot of flooding due to the storm surge. Even though that is so so hard, the devastation caused just a few hours from us is heartbreaking. This is now 2 years in a row we have been just hours from a major catastrophic hurricane and it just puts so much into perspective. Please join me in praying for those way more effected by all of this than we were.

The girls had their first cheer game of the season (the week before was a Jamboree) and it was 105* outside but they were troopers (well, most of the time…peep Paisley in there lol). I love watching them cheer and it is my favorite that they are on the same squad again this season!

Last Saturday was spent at cheer and on Sunday the boys had a Fantasy Football draft so I talked the girls into going to the Yankees game with me. Cam is Red Sox fan and he always tries to get them to become one too but I think I successfully secured 2 little Yankees! They were mortified at my screaming but excited to be so close to the action. They witnessed 2 on field fights which they thought was crazy and were way more into the game than I anticipated.

I am a huge fan of baseball and football and I love going to games. I used to take Cam all the time but they girls have never shown a ton of interest so I haven’t brought them before because I go to watch the game, lol but I think this experience swayed them a little.

Another favorite are the new rompers at Shop Rooted and Free! They are a Free People dupe and so so good!

Last but not least today these cuties got to get out of their uniform top and into a college shirt for spirit day at school!

Last year Savannah became a fan of the Gamecocks out of no where and that is her current school of choice…no clue where it came from but the shirt from last year still fit so she wore that with pride, lol. Paisley had no idea what college to choose and when I lived in North Carolina I became a UNC fan because ya’ll when you live in NC you must choose…UNC or Duke….even if you don’t care you have to choose! Lol.

Also the difference in photos cracks me up! Savannah leaves for school at 6:50 AM and Paisley at 8:00 AM….clearly it was too early for a normal picture for Savannah! 😂
