Have you ever felt like an imposter?

Have you ever felt like you shouldn’t be doing what you are doing because someone else who does it too is better?

Do you fall into the comparison trap often?

Does anxiety and worry over what you are doing consume you sometimes and make you stop in your tracks?

Yeah? Me too.

Whether you call it the comparison trap or imposter syndrome I think this feeling and these thoughts are something that we can all relate to on some level or another. It may be hard to admit, but I do think if we dig down deep enough we can all say that we have been there.

I snapped this picture when I went to the skurch in Golden, Colorado for Founded + Funded, Suzy School. (If you don’t know what this is, do yourself a favor and search both F+F and Suzy School on IG, especially if you are a business owner) I wanted to take a picture of it as a reminder for myself and today, I wanted to share it with you in case you needed the reminder too.

Friend, no one is you and that is your power!!!!

Sure, many other people may be doing the same thing that you are but guess what…it could never be the same, similar yes but the same, no because they don’t have you (and you don’t have them). You are the piece that brings something different to your community, your business, the way you serve, etc. You don’t have to be like them, because you aren’t them and that is a really good thing.

As you move through this week, as you put together your business or the way you want to be serving in whatever capacity (or, fill in the blank) I pray that you are reminded that if God is calling you, He will equip you. He chose YOU to do it and He will give YOU exactly what YOU need! 💗
