What’s Up Wednesday (Feb 2023)

Hi friends! Happy hump day!

Last week I said it was a long week and this week, is flying by. Probably because a virus is now going through my house and I feel like I can’t get anything done so of course, it is flying by as fas as I can blink. Ya’ll February is kind of kicking my tail so I am hoping for a little less eventful March to say the least.

Anyways, its another edition for What’s Up Wednesday with Sheaffer and Shay so let’s dive in!

1: WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK:

We are keeping it simple over here this week since the stomach bug has us all a little queasy.

Monday - Sweet Potatoes and Chicken

Tuesday - Ground beef, beans and rice mix

Wednesday - Leftovers

Thursday - Breakfast for dinner

Friday - take out (I have a pop up from 7a-7p so after standing outside on concrete all day, I always bring home dinner because, mama tired)

2. WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT:

Our trip to Los Angeles. The month started so blissful and beautiful, take me back! I miss the food, the weather, the vacation mindset (lol) and the quality time with my hubby. Life has been full force since we got back so I am reminiscing about the amazing trip we had.

3: WHAT I’M LOVING:

This Florida weather! Gosh, January-March is my favorite weather here. It is warm but not hot, the mornings and evenings are cool. It is just beautiful outside and I live for it because I know summer and 100 degree is around the corner.

4: WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:

Lot’s work working and school, you know just usual life. Last Friday Paisley and Joe had their first Daddy/Daughter dance just the 2 of the them. It’s always been both girls and Dad so she was excited to have him all to herself. Savannah had a Youth Night at church, Cam is working and school and traveling with his friends. Just busy, normal life over here.

5: WHAT I’M DREADING:

At the moment, nothing in particular. Although, I have been dreading these last few days and feeling so sick while trying to care for sick kids. I swear upset stomachs are just the absolute worst.

6: WHAT I’M WORKING ON:

I just revamped my website and I couldn’t love it more! That has taken up most of my time this week so now I need to shift towards new arrivals and my upcoming pop ups! I am also working on launching a website for Gathered that will hopefully be live in a few weeks!

7: WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT:

My birthday is next weekend so that is always exciting. And the week after that Joe and I are headed to Boston for the weekend for my cousin’s wedding which I am super excited about. We live away from all of my family so it will be nice to see them and spend the weekend together. The kids will be off school for Spring Break when we get back so lots of beach time and downtown will happen then. These are the time’s where it is fun to live where people travel because we don’t have to go far to have a little vacay!

Throwback to last Spring Break where we basically lived at the beach all week, it’s the best since it is only 30-40 mins from out house depending on traffic.

8: WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING:

Currently rewatching Virgin River while I work (I love rewatching shows while I work) but also catching up on Emily in Paris when I can. And reading Spare by Prince Harry. I am only 50-ish pages in but wow! Like legit, don’t even know what else to say yet but wow!

9: WHAT I’M LISTENING TO:

Lot’s of country music. We have been on a country kick since we got back from Nashville which is saying a lot because I have always listened to country but definitely kicked it into high gear since going.

10: WHAT I’M WEARING:

Lots of casual everyday easy outfits. When you work from home it is easy to dress down but I have been trying to get ready for the days and get dressed more. Since I am doing pop ups which is a lot of physical work or on the computer and want to be comfortable my outfits reflect that.

Here are some recent OOTD’s with a side of dirty mirror since I can’t ever seem to keep it smudge proof with all my pop ups LOL.

11: WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND:

Church on Sunday. Cam is out of town so it’s just me, Joe and the girls. I think we may hit up the beach or go on a hike if we are feeling up for it. Just something outside to soak in this weather. We also need to do some housework and start getting the house ready to show since we move in April.

12: WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:

Our trip to Boston and spring break with the kids!

13: FAVORITE AMAZON PURCHASE THIS MONTH:

My Amazon has been really boring lately. It is mainly stuff that I need for pop ups (bags, tissue paper, etc) and then a few things the kids need like books for the book challenge at school or Pepcid 😂 I have really been trying not to buy anything we don’t need since we have to pack it all up and move soon so its been basically a bunch of nothing.

I did just buy these little cups for lunches though and I love them. I was buying the little cups of peanut butter but it was feeling like there had to be a better way than those little plastic cups so I grabbed these and they are perfect. We have used them for ranch dressing, peanut butter, etc. Basically anything you need to pack that is small or a dip/dressing. They are super cheap and useful.
