Hey Thursday friends!

I am knee deep in planning for the fall for Shop Rooted and Free and the blog content so today I went hard core into fall trends that we are going to see everywhere all fall long. I am extra excited because the overall trend of everyday, stylish wear is continuing and for those of us who like to get dressed everyday and be on trend without a lot of fuss or pricey tags — this is a huge win!

While I am still shopping for the boutique I thought I would round up some save versus splurges on the latest trends. I always believe in splurging where you want to (for me that is always handbags, shoes and denim) and saving where you want to (for me that is tops, accessories and basics) because a curated closet that you love everyday will include both!

Today’s round up will give you a save from Walmart and a splurge from Nordstrom which are always my go to’s when looking for good, trendy pieces on the budget I want to be on.

Okay, let’s jump into some fall 2024 trends…

1. Vests - You will see vests of all kinds and colors but denim is a classic, easy way to try this trend!

2. Wide Leg Jeans - As fall comes around, dark denim is my go to and wide leg jeans are so flattering with all the fall shoes! This is a top trend I think we should all jump on.

3. Shoulder Bags - We all love a good everyday catch all bags but this year, you are going to see the return of the shoulder bag and bonus, so many of this also come with an extra strap to wear as a crossbody as well.

4. Leopard - Okay, let’s be real I have worn leopard always but it is back for this fall and just as lovely as ever. You can easily tie in this trend with accessories, shoes and jewelry but don’t forget clothes work too! I love tops and jeans but an easily to style way to bring in this trend is through a skirt which are also so popular this fall.

5. Pops of Red - You are going to see the color red everywhere. From accessories and clothes to bags and shoes red is going to be all over the place and I am so excited about it. Trending even more are red ballet or Mary Jane flats and these below are adorable.

6. Trousers - Gone are the days that trousers are just for the office. These are so cute dressed up but also look amazing with a graphic tee and sneakers, a cardigan and tank, with heels, flats you name it this elevated basic is going to be everywhere.

7. Striped Sweater - This is a fall classic that is so on trend this season. I love this because it is a great layering piece and goes with everything. From jeans and your fav tee to trousers and heels and even drapped over your shoulder with an active dress you will get so much wear out of a striped sweater.

7. Cropped Jackets - This bomber jacket is so cute and lightweight making it the best transition piece and the cropped fit is going to be everything this season. Pairing perfectly with dresses, denim, trousers, skirts this silhouette is where it is this fall.
