Happy 10 Years!
Today, Joe and I celebrate 10 years of marriage! It has been a wild ride but, there is no one else I would rather ride the rollercoaster of life with than my hubby! Life can be so hard sometimes and marriage isn’t easy or perfect but I am so thankful for the life we have built together, the obstacles and hardships we have overcome and the fight we have always had to protect and care for our marriage!
To celebrate, I thought it would be fun to share 10 facts about us here on the blog!
We met at a country concert (Justin Moore), we were both there with friends. My friend wanted me to talk to him, I was like heck no I am here with friends (LOL) so she went up to him and told him I thought he was cute and made him come talk to me instead. 😂
We have been married for 10 years but have been together for 13 years this summer.
We found our relationship with Jesus together. We both had been raised Catholic (I say this loosely) but were far from God for different reasons. After we got married we decided to go to church one Sunday and gave our lives to the Lord together!
We have lived in 3 states together…North Carolina, Florida (twice) and New Jersey.
We took our honeymoon to the Bahamas on a cruise after spending a couple days in Charleston. It was fun even though I got sea sick terribly and neither of us enjoyed the cruise LOL
One of our first dates was to a Britney Spears concert. I won tickets on the radio and invited him to go kind of as a joke at first and when he said yes, we went and truthfully, had the best time!
Joe is an enneagram 7 and I am an enneagram 1…we are complete opposites in so many ways but somehow it works and helps each of us balance out.
Yep, we got married on Cinco De Mayo. Not on purpose, it was just one of the few Spring dates available at the venue we both loved so we picked it. Joe loves it because he says he will never forget the date 😂
We are both busy bodies and have a hard time sitting still. We love to be on the go and even when we have down time, we know we need it but don’t love it. Makes for a full calendar, LOL.
We both love going out to eat and exploring new places without a plan. Some of our best memories are just deciding to go to “xyz” place and discover new restaurants and shops!
Cheers to many more years and life together babe!
