FRIDAY FAVORITES

Whoo Hoo, it is Friday!

I feel like a month into summer break and we finally feel like we have our summer rhythm down. If that isn’t a favorite, I don’t know what is! It took us a few weeks, 2 camps and COVID 😂 but, we finally got it down and I am really happy about that. The next 6 weeks are going to be full of fun and because we have a schedule down I feel like I will be productive with work too and have a nice happy medium!

Anyways, today is the start of the weekend and I have a couple pop up shops scheduled but before I do that this weekend, we are headed to the trampoline park and outdoor movie tonight to watch Encanto. I didn’t love Encanto, but the girls did so they are excited to grab pizza, ice cream and our beach blanket to watch an outdoor movie!

Before we get the fun started, lets take a look back at some favorites of the week…

I didn’t get to post this last week (the days just got away from me) but the girls went to our churches VBS and had the best time last week. It was a week full of learning about Jesus, having fun with friends and making church fun. They had circus acts everyday, water day, ice cream, snacks, worship and so much more! They had the best time and can’t wait for next year already.

Paisley was bored the other evening and we are working hard on not going straight to tablets or tv when the girls are bored. I gave her a couple options and she chose baking while I made dinner. It was so cute to see her reading the directions and making the muffins by herself, checking her work and watching patiently as they finished.

I miss having little ones but this age and stage with the girls (9 and 11) is just so much fun.

Speaking of fun, beach day!

We decided that once a week I wouldn’t work and we would hit the beach for the day midweek. Since I work some weekends and since weekends tend to be really busy at the beach, this felt like a great decision so that we can get some beach days in even on the weeks I have a pop up. We went to Anna Maria Island and it was just the dreamiest beach day.

The water was clear and beautiful, the perfect temperature and the sand was soft. The girls made a friend and played for hours while I read, I jumped in the water with them a bunch to swim and find fish/shells, etc and it was just the very best Wednesday I have had in a long time.

On Thursday we were up bright and early because the girls had dentist appointments. Paisley had a cavity that needed to be filled and Savannah was ready for the next phase of her ortho treatment. She has had an expander in for a few months and yesterday, she got braces on the top 4 teeth!

We’ve also slept in, taken naps and dyed our hair blue! 😂

Every summer I let the girls use temporary hair dye and dye their hair a fun color. They want to do permanent dye but I am not ready for that for them yet so this wash out dye is a great compromise.

It has been a great week of summer and should be a fun weekend too. I will do my pop ups and Joe has some things planned with the girls…fishing, more beach and I am sure sneaking in a couple naps!

I hope you have a great weekend friends whatever your plans are!
