Friday Favorites Link Up (1.24.25)
Today I’m linking up with Andrea and Erika for Friday Favorites a weekly link up that is always my favorite!
I haven’t been able to link up in quite some time since when busy seasons hit the blog always takes a back seat but I am excited to participate this week and look forward to doing so again in 2025 as much as I can! If you haven’t checked out their blogs and you love “old school” lifestyle blogging and connection do yourself a favor and connect with them and their blogs, I love following them and have for many many years!
This week has felt crazy busy, this month actually has felt simultaneously a million years long and lightening fast all in one. I am ready for the weekend and bonus, I have no pop up events for Shop Rooted and Free until Sunday evening and the kids are spending the weekend with their Grandparents so we are having a date weekend - which will probably consist of running errands and Joe has an eye appointment but it should be fun regardless even if we are just doing boring errands around town!
Okay, let’s get started with this weeks favorites…
Ya’ll it has been FREEZING in Florida! January is always cold but it is usually not this kind of cold (it got into the 20’s this week) and while I don’t love these freezing temps, it has been a favorite to have a break from the heat and feel a little change in seasons!
Getting to wear all my fall and winter clothes has definitely been a favorite too!
Another favorite is the new loungewear and athleisure collection that I launched yesterday at my boutique, Shop Rooted and Free.
This is a favorite collection that we launch at the start of every year (and we usually replenish it throughout the year too) and gosh, these comfortable and cozy but cute finds are some of my favorites! I personally kept a few items (I wanted to keep them all but really try to not do that LOL) and I see myself living in the pieces I kept!
If you are looking for new comfortable clothing that meets the needs of your everyday we would love to serve you! Don’t forget to use code “welcome” to save 10% off your first online order.
I am currently working my way through this book series by Lucy Score and it is my favorite. I am in love with the characters and her writing style is so easy to read and follow. I am currently on book #5 “Holding On To Chaos” and I am hoping to finish it this weekend. I read the first 4 books in one week on vacation which shows how much I loved them.
I wish I had more time to read now that we are back from vacation but even just a few pages a night is helping me keep up with my reading goals for 2025 and keeping me super engaged in this book series that is definitely a page turner.
THE LOST KITCHEN COOKBOOK // BIG HEART LITTLE STOVE COOKBOOK
Have you guys heard of Erin French and The Lost Kitchen? A friend recently introduced me to her show (on the Magnolia Network) and I am obsessed. I binge watched all seasons and immediately ordered her two cookbooks which I am excited to dive into and cook from.
Her story is amazing - a story of overcoming and of following your true passions and gifts it is equal parts inspiring and encouraging and well, I am definitely sending in my postcard reservation request and would be over the moon to get a chance to eat at her Maine restaurant.
I am loving this 100 Day Devotional by Lisa Harper - my Bible Study group did one of her studies in the fall and I fell in love with her teaching style. She is funny and makes the gospel relatable and approachable. Highly commend if you are in need of a new devotional.
I love Valentine’s Day decor and outfits and this new sweatshirt from Target is a new favorite.
I loved it so much that I bought it 2 sizes too big because it was the only size at my store and I was afraid to miss out on it. LOL! At under $25 it is a steal and I feel like it is not so valentine’s that you can’t wear it throughout the wear! Plus, it is so cozy and comfortable.
To end this week I will leave you with one of my favorite quotes! This world needs YOU and your gifts in it…you are YOU and that is your POWER!
Praying you have a wonderful weekend whatever you have on the schedule and that you start next week again refreshed and ready to tackle your goals and go after everything you want in this world!
