Favorite Scriptures for Anxiety

Happy Monday friends!

I don’t know about you but today I am starting the week with a heavy heart. Between the hurricane that just devastated Florida, North Carolina and the surrounding states to the state of the political climate all around us to throwing in just everyday life and obstacles we are facing, it all just feels really heavy and hard. I am sure that I am not the only one starting the week off on what feels like shaky ground.

We obviously live in Florida and our coastal town was destroyed including areas I do pop ups and business in and we have family/friends in the Carolinas (we used to live in NC so we are very familiar with the areas effected) as well as along the Florida coast and seeing the loss, the heartache from people we know and love and communities we know and love, it just hits so much harder. Add on an active tropics report with more potential storms coming our way and I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t emotionally exhausted as I know that so many others are as well.

This morning even though I wanted to just lay in bed and go back to sleep when my alarm went off I got up, made a cup of coffee and went right to my Bible. And while I still feel exhausted, my anxiety around it all feels a little more replaced with peace and so I thought I would share with you a handful of scriptures that I go to when my anxiety feels a little out of control.

Friend, I don’t know what you are facing but I do know that He does and that He is in the midst of everything that you are facing no matter how hard it feels. I pray that you would seek Him in your troubles, that you would feel His presence and that His promises and faithfulness would be louder and feel more comforting than the enemies lies and troubles.

It isn’t always easy to seek Him first but I promise that it is always worth it.
