Easy & Healthy Breakfast
I am not a huge breakfast person. I could easily skip breakfast everyday and for a while I intentionally did that with intermittent fasting. But, I have realized that the older I get and the more I am focusing on what really makes my body feel better (versus what is convenient) I need breakfast.
Since I don’t love to eat in the mornings, I have had to find ways to get in an easy and healthy meal without it being heavy and complicated (because then I definitely won’t eat it) and my go to lately has been a yogurt parfait of sorts.
It feels a little silly to call this a recipe since it is just throwing things in a bowl but I always find those recipes helpful for getting a little more creative in the kitchen so I thought why not share.
Here is what is currently in my bowl -
Greek yogurt (I like to find one with higher protein and as little sugar as I can get)
Granola (I switch it up so I don’t get bored and right now I am using Key Lime Pie)
Most granola is fairly sugary which is why I am super intentional about the yogurt I get because I would rather the sugar be in the granola
Fruit (I like to use fresh but you could use frozen too)
Tip: Use fruit that is in season and switch it up! This week I am using peaches are they are delicious!
That’s it - super simple, quick to make and fairly healthy!
