Dessert Recipe: Rolo Pretzel Bites

Yesterday I was strolling through Target grabbing some essentials like shampoo/conditioner, toilet paper — you know all those random items that always seem to run out at the same exact time and just started craving something sweet. Which, I know that is kind of random to be grabbing odds and ends and craving candy but, I was and well, life is weird sometimes, lol.

Anyways, I made my way over to the food department and I couldn’t quite put my finger on what I wanted since I felt like I wanted something sweet but not too sweet and maybe that meant a little salty with the sweet and well one thing led to the next and I was in the middle of aisle whatever looking up Pinterest ideas.

Please tell me I am not the only one who does that?

I came across a recipe that looks super easy with only 2 ingredients and well, since it was 2pm on Thursday and I still had to finish my work day, get the girls from school and then do the after school crazy before cheer I thought, 2 ingredients is exactly what I need and well, Rolo Pretzel Bites it was.

We got home and I ended up making them when we got home from cheer and they literally took 10 mins from prep to eating and they were the perfect little dessert for a weeknight so, I thought I would share on the blog today!

Rolo Pretzel Bites

Ingredients Needed:

  • Rolo’s (I did the big pack so I could make a bunch)

  • Square Butter Pretzels (the shape here is what you are looking for)

Recipe:

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Place 24 pretzels on the parchment paper evenly spread apart.

  • Place 1 rolo on each pretzel.

  • Bake for 3 minutes.

  • Gently place and press another pretzel on top of the rolo.

  • Allow to cool and enjoy!

I stored them in an air tight container in the pantry and grabbed one this afternoon and they were equally delicious the next day!

Let me know if you make them and what you think, these are the perfect sweet and salty treat and we can’t wait to make them again.
