Current Skincare
Last night I was folding laundry and doing a face mask and had this random thought that I haven’t shared with you my new skincare routine in a while. Anyone else have random thoughts about work, life and everything else while they do those mundane tasks?
I swear, something about putting laundry away always brings up things I need and should do! 🤷🏻♀️
Anyways, I shared previously that I was using some Young Living products and while I still do use them from time to time, I was finding that they weren’t really working for my skin right now. You guys know I have been going through a lot of health issues that doctors are struggling to figure out and one thing that these inside issues are causing…my skin to breakout like crazy. My skin has never been in worse shape in my entire life, not even as a teenager and as silly and vain as it may sound, it has been really hard for me.
Just to give a little background before diving into what I am currently using, I even started to get facials every 8-12 weeks last year and was on really great quality skincare (that was also $$$$$) and it still wasn’t working. No matter what treatment I got, supplement they tried or products they told me to use, my face wasn’t budging.
While I know that until I heal whatever is happening inside my skin won’t be clear I do know that I am 36 year olds old and am sick of my face breaking out like I am 15. And even though I know it won’t get really great until my health is better under control, I have been seeking whatever I can do to help in any way.
All this rambling to say….I was in Ulta a few months ago needing new skincare and I decided to give Tula a try. Now, I was so skeptical, I will be honest but the price point was where I wanted it to be and I love that they have so many products to choose from. I am a firm believer that the formulas work best when used all in the same family (meaning, I need to use all Tula products to see the best results) and let me tell you, I am loving them!
Here is what I am currently using from them…
I try to keep my skincare simple because the truth is, if I have 100000 steps I am not going to do it. That is just me being real. So I love that the steps are quick and simple and that I am seeing results.
Right now, I am using all of these products both day and night and probably will continue to for a while. Once I can get my skin a little more under control, I may introduce more but for right now I need support with acne and dryness and so that is what I am focusing on.
Also, once a week I use each of these masks. Usually I do the detox mask on Sunday’s and a hydrating mask Wednesday or Thursday.
That is it for now! I do have a prescription for Retinol but I haven’t used it yet because I am in the sun constantly being that it is summer so I think I will introduce that maybe in the fall depending on how things are going!
Alright, that is all I got. A simple and sweet skincare routine that I highly recommend if you too are in need of great quality products without all the fuss!
