Why the saying?

If you are new here, in 2020/2021 I finally crashed hard into burnt out, something that I had been feeling for a while but ignored for the sake of pushing forward. Truthfully, in that season all I did was work…all work and no play. All work no time for myself, family, friends, things I enjoy…it all went away to just keep working and I was miserable for it.

When I finally acknowledged that I was completely burnt out and that my health was taking a toll because of it, I made some major changes and faced my burn out recovery head on. And the truth is, I still very much am!

I am a go-getter and, I am also a do-er. I mean what I say, I am not afraid to make sacrifices to go after my goals and hard work never scares me away. But, what I have learned in my healing journey is that taking time to enjoy my life today matters too. Chasing sunsets and enjoying life’s small pleasures (and big ones too) are just as important as chasing my dreams and this graphic serves as a reminder of just that.

Chase those dreams ladies, they were made for you.

But don’t forget to also chase rest, fun, small moments and todays life too!
