Allergy Friendly Holiday Treats

Being gluten free and dairy free is a challenge all throughout the year but I find that the holidays can be extra challenging. Lately, I have been sneaking in a few too many foods that I shouldn’t be eating and I am feeling it to say the least. Ugh, I really hate when I do this to myself but, I am human and I love snacks so…here we are! Ha!

Anyways, I wanted to get myself in check but still wanted to enjoy the holiday treats that I love so I took to Target (of course) to find some allergy friendly treats and I was pleasantly surprised with the few that I tried.

First up, Safe and Fair had these fun festive and delicious granola packs. I will say, they are pretty expensive (but most GF/DF granola is) but it is well worth the price tag here. I eat these on my favorite cashew yogurt I get from Trader Joe’s but they are also great for a sweet snack throughout the day if you put some in a bowl, the chunks are big enough so satisfy a sweet tooth moment any time of the year with their many flavors.

Below is the yogurt that I love from Trader Joe’s, highly recommend this with or without the granola.

I also grabbed this whipped topping and it tastes good, not like the real stuff but still fun to add to all the pies, treats and even my coffee in the morning. It’s funny because I never do whipped topping on my coffee but add a Christmas tree to my house and immediately I want all the whipped cream.

I also found these Sweet Loren cookies at Target too and I can’t wait to bake them tonight. I love their sugar cookies and chocolate cookies so I am counting on these being really great! The kids love them too and have no idea that they are allergy friendly because they are that good. Bonus, the dough is safe to eat raw which is always what I would rather eat anyways!

I’m still on the hunt for more holiday treats but it is definitely not easy to find so if I grab more I will let you know! Happy feasting to all my allergy friends, it can be rough out there but there are some great options for us!
