4th of July Recap
I am cracking up a little bit because I was looking through our photos from 4th of July and I am not in a single one. Any other Mama’s get to the next day of a holiday, vacation or fun experience and have photos of everyone but you? That is total mom life right there. 😂
A total photo fail especially because what it really means is that we didn’t get a family photo but also a win because the reality is, I didn’t get many pictures at all since we were busy enjoying the moment and having fun.
We started our celebrations on Tuesday night at Nathan Benderson Park where we enjoyed all the activities they had on site, pizza for dinner and fireworks. Bonus was running into friends and cheer coaches and catching a killer sunset while we waited for fireworks to start.
Cam stayed home and truthfully, the girls are outgrowing most of the activities (especially Savannah) but, it was a fun night out the 4 of us and while they are growing up they still amused me with a night out.
I do miss the days where I could dress them in all the fun festive stuff but at least they wore some red, white and blue for me!
On the 4th we woke up early and headed out on the boat for a couple hours. It was a beautiful but honestly, really really hot day on the water. The temps were close to 100* and it felt even hotter so we were glad that we only had a few hours out there. It was a fun time swimming, reading, fishing and enjoying lots of music and family time.
After a handful of hours, we headed home to get ready to go to a friends house. I totally failed here with zero pictures but we celebrated with lots of food, fun and friends! It was the perfect day and while the 4th felt a little weird on a Tuesday 🤔 it really was the best day!
I hope that whatever you spent your day doing it was full of things that fill your heart with joy!
